I have worked over two decades to become the artist, and person, I am today. Like many artists, I’ve been drawing since I could hold a pencil. Upon learning what animation is, age six, I chose my career and life’s work. Sixteen years later, I earned my BFA through full academic scholarship, and these past five years, I've finally been able to make a living as an artist and animator. So far, nothing brings me more satisfaction than when I’ve produced a decent drawing, or clever bit of animation. Still, I have a long way to go to achieve the level of mastery I want to reach, so day in and day out, my time is spent working, learning, and improving my skills.

Traditional animation, anatomy, and digital painting are my primary passions. I am a proficient Flash and Toon Boom character animator/rigger, and also enjoy producing 2-D effects animation. In addition, I have some experience with 3-D modeling and animating through the use of ZBrush, Maya, and Lightwave. In fact, if 2-D animation were my work boots, Zbrush would be my slippers. Not worn as often, but quite comfortable.

Of course, I possess other skills that help me get work and make employers happy. These include a persistently upbeat attitude, excellent organization, and working well with other artists, executives, and clients. Whether telecommuting or working in a studio environment, I am punctual, diligent, and focused. Furthermore, no challenge is too great. I enjoy tough scenes, and gladly push myself beyond my comfort zone to learn new programs and techniques.

If you are in need of a reliable professional who is willing to share his knowledge, is eager to learn, and will work hard to do the job right, then I’m your man.

My name is Victor, and I am an animator.

Thank you so much for your time,

Victor Malcervelli
